In the focus of the project are different disjunctions/interruptions, both physical and mental. Format of the picture discontinues the action of the hand, falling down stops the walking, the program in the television is interrupted. However these disjunctions are part of the lastingness because of their countinuous and repeated nature.
The use of mechanical minimalism is for me an instrument to question the requirement set for the originality of an artwork. Thereby the illusions of individuality, variability, diversity, adeptness and also the technical skillfulness of the artist will be disaffirmed and rejected. This quite nihilistic approach abandons the representational criteria and transforms the artistic action into pure mechanical work. It is an absurd devotion to the producing of grey surface.
